Message from your Counselor
My name is Brian D. Releford and I will be serving as the 9th grade academy counselor. I have been blessed to serve as a Clarkston HS counselor since 2018. I currently hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Morris Brown College (2001) and a Master of Science Degree in School Counseling from Capella University (2017)
I look forward to working with all faculty, staff, parents and students. Lets have a safe and successful school year

9th Grade Checklist: Everything You Need to Succeed
START STRONG --- FINISH STRONG!
1. Boost Your GPA. Your main focus should be high grades. Stay in constant communication with your teachers. Ask questions when you are unsure of your teacher's expectations.
2. Build a Strong Foundation. If you feel weak in any of your classes, alert your teacher, parents or counselor EARLY. We can get you the help you need by recommending tutors who can help.
3. Continue PSAT/ACT Prep.
4. Join Extracurricular Activities.
